With the 2003 SALI Landscape Design Award and 360 degrees of mountain views, the DeKraal Country Lodge located in the breathtaking Banghoek Valley of Stellenbosch is an idyllic venue for weddings, receptions, anniversaries and banquets.
The DeKraal estate features two distinct function areas:
Thatched Gazebo Lounge
This outdoor venue overlooks the bird island pond, weeping willow trees and the majestic Simonsberg on one side and Drakensteinberg on the other. Depending on type of function, this space can accommodate 30-50 people.
Oak Tree Café
This is both an indoor and outdoor venue. The indoor space provides a unique earthy atmosphere with a contemporary Africano feel. The cafe extends onto a rustic outdoor space complete with an all-natural canopy of a magnificent oak tree. The space can accommodate 20-30 people.
For weddings, a honey-moon suite and luxury accommodation for guests can be especially arranged to suit your needs. With scenic ponds and cascading waterfalls, the venue also provides romantic photo opportunities for your wedding photography.
Our in-house event coordinator will assist in making your function unforgettable and can advise on caterers, florists, photographers, decorators and other specialists.
